As a portrait artist I am very fortunate to have many families that return to us every year or two to update the family’s history through portraits. It is not always a family portrait with everyone included all the time. Some choose to have portraits created for special occasions in the family’s life or of one particular member of the family.
I have been photographing Rosa and her mom Brittany since Rosa was first born and we created her newborn portraits. They are a loving family that is always up to new and creative ways to express their love for each other through portraits. Rosa is often excited to come to the studio and I am always excited to see her and work with the family. One of my loves to create is black and white portraits and I take it a step further and finish the portrait creation by printing them on beautiful handmade papers here at the studio and provide them with a unique lacquer finish that we apply by hand to create that beautiful one of a kind look that we are known for at the studio. Then we finish it off with a beautiful frame to compliment the portrait and the décor that it will be displayed in. By being involved every step of the process and using this approach I am able to offer the family portraits that are archival and investment worthy and adhere to all the high standards of archival finishing in the art world. Each individual portrait finished this way will stand the test of time and be a special addition to the family and their homes for loved ones and friends to enjoy for multiply generations.
Rosa is a smart and outgoing little girl which I believe she gets from her lovely mother Brandy. One of the joys of my profession is I get to be part of Rosa and Brandy’s family journey and growing up as they enjoy their love for each other. I look forward to many more portrait opportunities with these two special people and their family in the coming years. They are truly one of our special families at the studio.
Thank you Brandy and Rosa for trusting me to help you create and record the two of you as the years march on.
